Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a holistic treatment in which the patient is entirely enclosed in a pressure chamber breathing 100% pure oxygen at greater than one atmosphere pressure.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is an important tool in animal medicine. From military and police dogs, therapy dogs to companion animals this
therapy will save lives and shorten recovery. The indications for this treatment modality are scientifically proven. This is a do no harm adjunctive and stand alone therapy that is pain free and can save your animals lives.
What is Hyperbaric Oxygen
Natural air contains nearly 21% Oxygen, and approximately 78% Nitrogen. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy uses 100% pure oxygen and pressure to increase the amount of oxygen to all cells of the body, including the brain. This is up to 10 times the normal amount of oxygen that will be carried by the plasma reaching all cell structures of the animal. These high oxygen levels over a series of treatments have a positive effect on many of the systems of the body.
How the therapy works
By elevating tissue oxygenation, HBOT promotes healing. Using this therapy accelerates recovery. HBOT is an adjunctive therapy
that works well with antibiotics and other drugs. HBOT increases the
effect of the white blood cells function increasing their ability to
kill bacteria.
HBOT can shorten recovery time by as much as 1/3 when used as your support treatment.

HBOT can decrease chronic or acute inflammation.
HBOT inactivates and removes toxins. HBOT provides
stimulation of damaged nerve and brain cells.
HBOT increases growth of new capillary blood vessels.
HBOT will increase the destruction of harmful
bacteria.
HBOT is capable of enhancing the effectiveness of
antibiotics ability to reach the desired target
destination even if walled off by the body.
HBOT also has a positive effect on the immune
system.
